However, when one of the half-brothers of Francisco Pizzaro named Gonzalo raped Cura Ocllo, the principal wife of Emperor Manco Inca, it was too much. Infuriated and convinced that the Spaniards would never tell the truth he led a rebellion that almost wiped the invaders out.
