Anasazi Art, History, and Culture
The Anasazi were not indigenous of this area. Their ancestors came to the Four Corners area from Asia by way of the Bering Strait. The Anasazi were not the first people to inhabit the southwestern United States. Hunters and gathers had lived in this area for thousands of years. However, the Anasazi would eventually become the largest and best known of the prehistoric southwestern cultures.
